Shun the Illegal Medicines on Internet

It is a cake-walk for the techno-savvy generation to have access to the illegal drugs that are available online. These drugs are the ones that are not approved by Food And Drug Administration (FDA) and contain ingredients that are not clearly revealed. It is a significant rise up to 19% is what the research says.

Though there have been strict violation codes that are rigorously checking these websites and have seized around 3729 packages of illegal medication in 2009, there are still illegal medications that are available. These illegal medications include the ones for anti-impotence (Viagra and Kamagra), weight loss, weight gain, memory-loss, hair-loss, anti-depressants etc. It has also been noticed that the rise is 3 times more than that in 2008. This manifests the rise of illegal drugs and the number of people looking out for illegal drugs.

The origin is higher in Asian countries where India tops the list. European countries are not left behind. They have an origin of around 35% including countries like UK, Germany, Greece, Portugal, USA etc.

When it comes to these illegal medicines to find out which drugs were most commonly used, the results were obvious. The illegal erectile Dysfunction pills and seized medicines were most commonly ordered and used by men and women around the globe. It was one-third of the total illegal medicines that were commonly used. The second most commonly used illegal drugs are the weight loss products that were 19 % of the total drugs used.

This new trend has given rise to the increased use of muscle-building drugs that are approximately 9%. Around 6% account for the sleeping pills and other similar medication that are consumed due to addiction. Illegal psychotropic drugs are consumed that are about 3%. Then there are an increasing number of products and cosmetics that are used for skin-lightening which are again around 3%.

The adverse reactions and other side-effects are also being noticed for these prohibited drugs and a report formed from this study states it to be around 3276.

So, the health organisations strictly advise us to maintain a safe distance from these illegal drugs available online. the doctor isn't far away, right?
